Certification Training

Women, veterans, and minorities seeking STEM college degrees may have the aptitude but no prior experience in their chosen profession. In most STEM professions, workforce members must hold industry certifications to be hirable. These certifications, in addition to a degree, quantifiably demonstrate a person’s level of competence.

Each STEM profession has multiple specializations geared towards industries or career paths. To a STEM student with no or few mentors in their chosen specialty, deciding on what certification path to take can be a barrier to entry.

Studying for and taking certification exams can be very costly - study guides, bootcamps, and exam vouchers can total in the thousands of dollars. For historically underserved or disadvantaged college students, these certification costs are an infeasible additional financial burden and barrier to entry.

Your donations purchase professional certification paths. We meet with and listen to each beneficiary’s career goals and counsel them on an appropriate certification path to achieve these career goals. METT Scholars works closely with major STEM certification bodies and bootcamp vendors to obtain the very best prices on books, bootcamps, and exam vouchers. Barriers overcome.

Your donations drive this process. Please consider donating generously - any amount counts.

We need your support to help overcome the barriers and empower our future STEM workforce!
